Great video. The guy in the Charger (it looked like an E49) with the 1972 Doug Chivas livery did a pretty good job himself working his way through the field.

Watching this again in late 2023 and it's still one of the all-time best race videos on RUclips. I absolutely loved listening to the revs flare when he loses traction on the bump on Conrod Straight (hitting almost 150mph), plus seeing him man-handle that thing around the corners and slower traffic. Absolutely epic!

I was in Bathurst one time and decided to have a squiz at the track in our Ford Territory. I kept to the speed limit. I'm no racer. I have no idea how they get round some of those corners so fast. Yikes!
